Russian artist Alexander Semenov‘s work is of undoubted interest for spectator in any part of the world. He is beyond distinct borders of the country and cultural peculiarities. Making start from Picasso, Bacon, Chagall language of art forms, having transformed customary symbols, the artist gave new expression to post modernist quest. Traditionalists take him excessively hard, and pioneers, on the contrary, too romantic. Neither these nor those are right. He creates vision of new space and new sensations, having used inherent only in him color tints, changing with unexpected images spectators’ usual attitude to the world.

·1969 graduated from Moscow Printing University, Art Department;
·since 1970 participated in exhibitions of painting and graphic art;
·1979 - 1987 member of group shows «Gallery in Malaya Gruzinsskaya st.», art union «Vernissage», ARS-2, ART-MYTH 1 and ART-MYTH 2
