Born in Moscow, Elena Gorbachevski began to study art as a child and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Moscow State Pedagogical University. Early on, Elena began to develop her very own special style, incorporating techniques acquired when studying fashion design at the Theater Art College in Moscow. Short after, she set up in Moscow her own studio, Gorbachevski Porcelain, which specialized in cobalt underglazes.
Since migrating to the United States, Elena has transformed herself into a genuine American artist. She combines skills derived from deep Russian and European roots with the liberating opportunities of America to create a distinctive, personal artistic vision. Elena resides and has studio in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She exhibited her works at art shows throughout the United States. Elena has received awards at many events for her creative approach and the excellent execution of her artworks.
